This year Living Hope is donating proceeds to the Regional Food Bank, which supplies shelters and soup kitchens across the eastern portion of New York. By signing up for this run, you are not only figthing for your health but you are also fighting against hunger.
The course runs along the bike path beginning at Lions Park in Niskayuna overlooking the Mohawk River. The path is paved and flat--great for a personal record. Take in the stunning sights and sounds of going through the woods in autumn without worrying about tripping over a root or rock. Run on asphalt without worrying about cars or trucks. This course has the best of both worlds.
Participants can pick up their packets, including a sweet t-shirt, numbered bib, and racing chip between 8:00 and 8:45am on race day (Saturday, October 1st) at Lions Park (3439 Rosendale Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309).
Parking is limited at Lions Park and will fill up quickly on a first come first served basis. Alternate parking is avialable just one mile down the road to the east at 4071 River Rd in Latham. If you park at this location you can get to the start line along the bikepath (take a left once you get on it, heading west). We'll have volunteers directing you on race day so you know where to go.
Following the race we'll have refreshments for racers along with several tents offering relevant services and goodies. In addition to handing out awards for the top finisher in each category, we'll give a prize for the best food costume.
Thanks to everyone for your participation in the 2015 Hunger Run. We had a great race day and we're so happy you were there to join in the fun. Here are the 2015 results.
